Conservation – every generation’s challenge and responsibility

Our educational outreach initiative, “Nature’s Blackboard,” recently lead children from Hope Rural School, YMCA of Indiantown and the Boys & Girls Club of Indiantown on three separate tours into Barley Barber Swamp. As part of our “Swamp-inspired Art” program, the children created drawings capturing elements of the swamp they found interesting, as well as writing about the learned, which we’ll unveil later this year.

We partnered with FPL to re-open the environmental jewel Barley Barber Swamp for public tours; http://www.tcpalm.com/news/2010/nov/11/feeling-swamped-enjoy-flora-fauna-of-old-florida/
